The book
A practical guide to building a design business that works
Why Creative Freedom exists
We wrote this book because we wish we had it many years ago. When we started freelancing, we had the design skills, but we were clueless about the business side. We learned the hard way—through underpriced projects, nightmare clients, and years of feast-or-famine cycles.
Most business books for designers are either too corporate (written for agencies) or too fluffy ("just follow your passion!"). We wanted to write something real. A field guide for the actual terrain of freelance life.
It’s about building a business that supports your life, not one that consumes it. It’s about doing great work for people who respect you, and getting paid well to do it.
